Search the production
Use the main search for a series or film. Start with distinctive words and leave format and year open when you are unsure. Add filters after you recognize the possible results. A voice actor or director search can be useful when the name is the strongest clue you remember.
Search inside a series
The episode finder uses recorded episode names and their series. Try a short phrase such as pirate adventure, then narrow to a show if several matches appear. Numbering can differ between catalogs and viewing services, so use the name as well as the number.
Understand the filters
Original language describes the production, not all available dubs. Production country describes where the work was made, not the country for Watch now links. Release year applies to the film or start of the series, not necessarily the episode you remember.
What to try after no results
Remove one filter at a time. Try the franchise name without a season number, or a distinctive subtitle without the franchise. If the phrase describes a television special, look in both movie search and episode search. A missing result is not proof that the story never existed; the catalog and episode records can be incomplete.
Open title search or open episode search.
Short names and named seasons
MLP finds My Little Pony entries, and MLP Movie 2017 identifies the film rather than a television season. American Legends and Annabelle Wish also work as shorter searches. When a season has a distinctive name, try that: Super Ninja Steel leads to the Power Rangers series, whose season list identifies it as Season 25.
