A familiar character can appear in several formats
Tom and Jerry shorts, a Tom and Jerry television series, and a later feature adventure are different catalog works. A compilation may collect earlier shorts under a new title. Look at the subtitle, year, and running time before assuming the result contains the story you remember.
Holiday programs are not always sequels
Shrek the Halls is a special rather than the next numbered Shrek film. Christmas and Halloween programs involving Mickey Mouse can sit among series specials or have separate release identities. A seasonal name alone is not enough to establish how a service packages the program.
Short does not mean incomplete
A short film can be the entire intended work. Duck Amuck, Once Upon a Studio, and A Close Shave have different lengths and histories, but none needs to be mistaken for a missing section of a feature. Read the recorded duration and title.
Recovering an old video title
Try the most distinctive words on the box or in the remembered television listing. If the search finds only a related series, use its episode records to check whether the special appears there. Do not assume every compilation uses the same selection or order.

Jimmy Timmy Power Hour: finding all three stories
The Jimmy Neutron and Fairly OddParents crossover stories appear among specials rather than as a new cartoon series here. The same story can therefore have a record under each of the two parent shows. That does not mean there are two different films with the same name.
